Mbale central market has today, 12th July, 2022 elected a new leadership.
The main competition was between Ayubu Madoi, the former chairperson and Periz Wambede who was his vice.
The Market Master, Kharite Nandutu who presided over the election declared Perize Wambedi as a winner after polling 1,294 votes against his boss Ayubu Madoi who got 605 votes.
On the position of vice chairperson, Webisa Kurusumu was declared winner after getting 911 against Isama Wambende who got 143. Others; Muhammed Watba 137, David Nambuka 32 and Godfrey Nandila 28 votes.
Ayubu Madoi who lost the seat congratulated his colleague and vowed to work together for the development of the central market.
