SOROTI CITY
Soroti City West MP Jonathan Ebwalu has denied rumors circulating that he has joined the NRM Party because he has been campaigning for NRM’s candidate for Soroti City East bye-elections.
Ebwalu who was amongst the Members of Parliament who turned up to celebrate the nomination of Herbert Edmund Ariko at Moruapesur primary school yesterday 19th July 2022 told the crowd that he is not an NRM member and never is he planning to cross to NRM.
‘’ I am an independent Member of Parliament and am not planning to cross to NRM party or any other party, am here not because of NRM but for Ariko. I will campaign for him because he is a hard-working leader, good at lobbying for his people and I wish him victory,’’ Ebwalu told the crowd.
Ebwalu who has for a while been seen in Ariko’s consultative meetings in different wards with voters has since left the public asking whether he is NRM or FDC leaning Independent.
Soroti City East by-elections scheduled for 28th July will have four candidates that include Attan Moses Okia of the FDC party, Ariko Herbert Edmund of NRM, Pascal Amuriat of the UPC party and DP’s Isaac Okore.
