SOROTI CITY
The Soroti City East Central Ward NRM campaign team determined to leave no stone unturned as it canvasses for votes for its candidate, Edmund Ariko has today met the Soroti City Central Market leaders.
This team comprising of General J.J Odongo and Hon. Sanjay Tanna was meeting the Central Market leaders, listening to their grievances and soliciting for their support in the 28th July, 2022 Soroti City East by-election pitting NRM’s Ariko against FDC’s Attan Mose Okia.
Amongst the grievances they raised against government officials were high taxation, lack of water high power bills and poor collection of garbage.
The Soroti Central Market is a known FDC stronghold in Soroti City and the Tanna team aware of this fact have pitched camp there today.
On Saturday 23rd July 2022, the Vice President, H.E Jessica Alupo reorganized the NRM team canvassing votes for NRM’s Edmund Herbert Ariko.
In the reorganized team, Hon. Sanjay Tanna was deployed in the Central Ward Team headed by General J.J Odongo. The purpose for which is to garner support from the business community, the Juakali and youths.
Tanna himself runs several businesses in Eastern Uganda and therefore is best placed to appreciate and understand the concerns of the business community.
