ECONOMY STUPID! Local Council Chairperson Remanded Over Cattle Theft

A Local Council One Chairman in Bukedea district has been remanded to Bukedea government prison for allegedly stealing two bulls from a resident of his own cell.

 

Daniel Osekel, 53 years, LC1 Chairman of Auje village, Kasoka parish in Bukedea Sub County in Bukedea was yesterday, 27th July, 2022 sent to prison on remand by Julianah Chimono, the Grade One Magistrate Bukedea.

 

Osekel was arrested on 21st, June, 2022 for allegedly stealing two bulls worth three million shillings belonging to Sam Ochi of the same village.

 

Osekel was produced before the Grade One Magistrate’s Court in Bukedea for plea.

Chimono adjourned the hearing of the case to 23rd, August, 2022 for the court hearing.
