BUGIRI:An angry mob in Kiseitaka village, Nabukalu Sub County has lynched lynched a man suspected to have stolen a goat.
The deceased, Sande Buyinza was attacked by the angry mob armed with sticks and stones after being caught with the goat suspected to have been stolen from one Jamada on Sunday 5th May.
The deceased had earlier attempted to flee but was overpowered by the mob that dragged him back and started hitting him till he passed on.
The LC One Chairman Kiseitaka village, Moses Kafero said the mob that was numbering over 70 over powered some local council officials who had tried to restrain them from lynching the deceased.
The officer in charge Bugiri Central Police Station, Godfrey Musimami cautioned members of the public against taking the law into their hands.
Musimami said some innocent people have lost their lives as a result of mob justice in the district.
He said no arrests had so far been made in connection with the murder.
