The Forum for Democratic Change strongman, Stephen Ochola  has left tongues wagging when he chose to campaign for an Independent candidate against his Party’s own.

Ochola who also doubles as the candidate for local council five seat in Serere told FDC supporters in Soroti City West to vote for Jonathan Ebwalu an independent candidate vying to represent Soroti city west in the 11th parliament.

Ochola was addressing the gathering at a campaign trail of Jonathan Ebwalu in Nakatunya Market over the weekend.

He said FDC leadership in Soroti did a mistake of removing people from the party singling out the then chairperson of FDC in Soroti, John Enomu, Jonathan Ebwalu and Edward Esegu among others and appointing people in offices without respecting the party strategy and structures.

According to Ochola, Soroti city west needs a strong and knowledgeable leader who will represent its constituents effectively and Ebwalu carries such traits, a reason he left his busy schedule in Serere to move with Ebwalu.

Ebwalu is contesting against the FDC’s Candidate Edmund Elasu, Ebitu Simon peter an independent candidate and NRM’s David Calvin Echodu in the race for Soroti City west MP.
