Cooper Motors Launches Regional Service Center In Mbale City

Cooper Motors Corporation (CMC) has launched a regional Service Center in Mbale City.

The launch that was attended by Mbale Resident City Commissioner (RCC), Ms Pamela Watuwa, Interim Mbale City Mayor, Zandya Mutwalib, selected personalities and the media took place today 12th March 12, 2021.


CMC is partnering with Israel Motors and Garage located at Shell petrol station in Doko Cell, Namatala Ward ‘A’ in Industrial City Division, Mbale City.


According to Mark Davidson, the CMC Country Manager Uganda, the center will serve the sub-regions of Bukedi, Teso, Kapchorwa and Bugisu.


Mark said the decision to decentralize the Service Centers is premised on the numerous complaints the company has received from clients about accessibility to their services.


“Most of you complained on the distance you have to drive to access our parts and services, while most farmers complained of lost farm hours while waiting for our technicians from Kampala to service your tractors,” Mark Davidson told a selected audience chosen from renowned farmers, businessmen, bank representatives and Media representatives.


Cooper Motors is an exclusive distributor of Ford Motors (USA), Suzuki vehicles from Japan, Mazda BT50, vehicles from India, Eicher Trucks & Buses and New Holland tractors TT45 & TT40 and other Agricultural products from Brazil and India.


Some of the farming implements distributed by Cooper Motors are Harvesters, Field King and Nardi.


Mark also revealed why the company partnered with Israel Motors and Garage.


“Israel Motors is a trusted facility, well equipped with latest diagnosis equipment and has proved to have the capacity to handle our client needs,” Mark said.


Mark revealed further that Cooper Motors has partnered with various banks to ensure tractors are more affordable to all Ugandans. This he said will enable farmers maximize land usage and improve production.



The Center will offer services such as; Free general vehicle checks and assessment, provision of genuine service parts and free mechanical advice.


Edward Ewinu, the Service Parts Manager at CMC said the service parts are already available at Israel Motors and Garage at the same rates as charged in the Kampala main Service Center.


The launch was graced by the Mbale City Resident City Commissioner (RCC), Pamela Watuwa as Chief Guest and interim Mbale City Mayor, Mutwalib Zandya.


In her speech, the RCC applauded Cooper Motors for their timely decision to launch a service center in Mbale City saying the City is growing and needs such services.


Cooper Motors is part of Alfuttaim Automotive Group with its headquarters in Dubai. It operates in 41 countries and is a leading player in the East African motor Industry.
