Mbale City to Resume Street Parking Fees Levy with New Contractor Given Authority to Commence Operations

Mbale City authority has resumed street parking fees collection with a new contractor, Nalu Tour and Travel Ltd finally cleared to collect street parking fees in Mbale City.
 Nalu Tour and Travel Ltd is to manage the collection of street parking fees for a period of six months.
James Kutosi, the public relations officer for Mbale City council confirmed to Eastnews today, 11th May 2022 that Nalu tour and travel Ltd has been cleared bto take over the contract of collecting local revenue from street parking.

Kutosi said, with many meetings all Mayors for both divisions and city have agreed to let the new contractors begin work because the City needs revenue.

“We request good cooperation with them and if their term ends others are free to come and bid for the contract.” Kutosi said.

Director of Nalu Tour and Travel Ltd  Luzze Robert Kamya told the media that they are going to forgive each other mostly the Mayor Masaba Muhamood for the fightings which have been there for so long for the good of the City.

“We call upon all those interested to submit their applications in time on Saturday we have interviews and we shall first consider those people who have bbeen working there before,” Kamya said.

He added that their office is located at former Mbale shoppers building on Pallisa road adding that they are  not going to use receipt books but machines to enter data.
