Minister of State for Privatization, Evelyn Anite has hit back at National Unity Platform (NUP) Presidential flag bearer for endorsing her opponent Dr. Charles Ayume.

Robert Kyagulanyi a.k.a Bobi Wine on Tuesday 8th December 2020 endorsed Ayume, something that has greatly pissed Anite.

Evelyn Anite on Wednesday raided Kamokya’s Ghetto to decampaign Kyagulanyi.

Anite told the Kamwokya Ghetto people that they should be careful with Bobi Wine because he abandoned them when he became rich.

She said ‘’I  spent the day in the Kamwokya Ghetto discussing with Ghetto youths on how to improve their lives especially health conditions such as ending the problem of bedbugs and other problems ‘’when Bobi Wine became rich, he moved away from the Ghetto to a mansion in Magere. He is now in Koboko abusing me. I am in Kamwokya securing the future for the people,” she added.

While endorsing NRM’s Ayume, Kyagulanyi said; “I have studied Mr. Ayume for a long time and he inspires me. I know he will not say anything good about me but wherever he is, tell him that I support him.”

Mr. Kyagulanyi  said Dr. Charles Ayume’s father, Mr .Frances  Ayume, who was Uganda’s Attorney General at the time of his death [2004] inspired him while growing up and that’s why he chose to endorse his son.

In a related development, President Museveni’s Senior Press Secretary Mr Don Wanyama mocked Kyagulanyi for endorsing an NRM candidate saying he is soon going to endorse his rival Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

‘’Very soon, he’ll tell Ugandans to vote@Kaguta Museveni . just watch the space ,’’Don Wanyama tweeted.
