Rejected Kumi Bishop Turns To Helping Needy

The Bishop elect for Kumi Anglican Diocese whose confirmation was deferred over irregular academic trnscripts has turned into helping the needy.

Bishop Charles Okunya Oode is now helping the needy as a way of offering services to his followers.

Bishop Okunya in a tweet said:

“My friends, I remember telling you all to watch this space, this is how FAITHFUL God can be; EBENEZER. This is the new Atikubui Primary School, Atoot, Ngora district. The progress of the work, seven classrooms, an office space and drop in toilets for boys and girls.”


Bishop elect Okunya was meant to replace Bishop Thomas Irigei but the House of Bishops later annulled his election and appointed Bishop Charles Odurkam as his successor.

In his other statement, Bishop Okunya commended God for his earlier appointment and went ahead to say God is in control. He also appealed to his followers to stay connected to God.

“Thanks to God, thanks to ABAANA Ministries Uganda and and Martino construction company Ngora for this wonderful achievement and Works,” Bishop Okunya said.

Recently during his visit to Teso, the Anglican Archbishop, His Grace Stephen Kazimba asked Christians and Arch deacons loyal to Okunya to listen to the voice of the House of Bishops.
