Police Kill Two, Injure One Over Traffic Disagreement

Police has shot dead two men and a woman in a scuffle caused by a traffic misunderstanding.

 

The two were shot dead last evening, the 18th of February 2021 at Kamuli Road in Jinja City.

 

According to an eyewitness, a patrol car was driving on the wrong side of the road at the roundabout and knocked a boda boda man. Irate fellow boda boda riders then accosted the policemen blaming them for the accident.

 

 

In the ensuing exchange, one officer who was in the patrol car opened fire killing the two instantly. The identities of the dead were not available by time of filing this story. However, we were able to get the pictures of the deceased.

 

The woman who was roasting maize by the roadside was hit on the thigh by a stray bullet. Realizing that they had shot an innocent woman, the officers picked her and drove her to a hospital in their patrol car leaving the lifeless bodies of the two boda boda riders lying by the road.
