There was drama when two sons of a 93 year old man who had passed on in Nakalama Parish, Nakalama Sub County Iganga District were stopped from praying for their late father because they are witch doctors.

The deceased, Ahamada Kasomoko passed on yesterday 27th September after battling a long illness at his home in Nakalama Parish Nakalama Sub County in Iganga district.

Hundreds of mourners who had turned up to pay their last respects to the deceased were shocked when the Imam, Masjid Mecca in Iganga Municipality who was leading the prayers decided to send the two children away from the queue saying he was respecting the Will of their late father.

However some mourners said they would have been left to pray for their father since Islam is all about forgiveness.

The two; Musa Kasomoko and Isma Kasomoko who have shrines near the home of the deceased moved out of the queue protesting the manner in which they were being treated.

Sheikh Hajji Ngobi Mohamed who led the prayers for the deceased said he was given a Will by the deceased which indicated that the two children should not be part of the prayers since he was a staunch Muslim who doesn’t believe in witchcraft.

The two declined to speak to the press when contacted before disappearing into the nearby banana plantations.

The deceased is survived by 4 widows a 40 children.
