Mary Mwanika a renowned female gospel artist in Teso Sub Region, yesterday 04th, Dec, 2021 launched her new music album of six songs.
The launch took place at the main Pentecostal Assembly Church in Soroti City in a colorful function graced by hundreds of people who included top business icons, politicians, religious leaders and others.
The show was curtain-raised by different gospel artists from Teso including her daughter baby, Angeline Osege who is also a singer and her husband; both have always danced to all her music performances. Other singers came from Karamoja Sub Region.
While having an interview with this website, Mwanika thanked God for the colorful day that came to pass saying she had always kept on postponing the launch due to different setbacks. She also thanked all those who turned up to support her and make sure that the event went successfully as planned.
‘’The new album is called ‘’Jehovah’’ meaning God and it has about six songs that are all visuals,’’ she explained.
She further added that as gospel artists, they lack support in producing music as a result they have to struggle on their own. She also blamed piracy by street vendors who burn music along the streets faster than the owners of the music which isn’t good.
