Nathan Nandala Mafabi, Member of Parliament representing Budadiri West Constituency in Sironko district has pledged to lead construction drive of Muduku Memorial Ward at Budadiri Health Center IV.
He revealed this recently at Budadiri Town Council during the burial of Stephen Muduku, the first legislator after independence who represented Bugisu North West Constituency.
According to Nandala, area leaders, stakeholders and Bamasaba are going to fundraise money and raise a block at Buddairi Health Center IV to be named Muduku block as a way of remembering the good things the late did to Bamasaba and Uganda at large.
He also says that that the block will be used for admitting people in advanced age with different complications rather than mixing with others.
Isaiah Sassaga Wanzira, the MP representing Budadiri East Constituency in Sironko district also urged his fellow MPs from Bugisu land and Uganda at large to emulate Muduku by representing their people effectively and lobbying.
He expressed his happiness with the leadership of Budadiri health center IV for giving them the space to erect the Muduku block which will help the Ugandans who are old to be admitted in separate rooms.
Vicente Kizamba, the area Budadiri Town Council Councilor to the district praised Muduku as a politician who has been advising younger ones whenever they approached him.
He said the Ward is going to help people with old age to be admitted which has not been there since the existence of the health center.
Sam Wambi and Yunusu Gidongo, both residents from Budadiri town council, also expressed their happiness with the plan of remembering Muduku by constructing a block at Budadiri health center IV.
