The Bududa district leadership have raised their concern over the poor state of the Manafwa- Bududa road.
Speaking to this reporter in an exclusive interview on Saturday 5th March 2022, the LC5 Chairperson Bududa district, Kamoti Milton Wasunguyi said the poor state of the road makes work at their offices difficult due to too much dust.
Wasungui said during the Presidential campaigns, President Museveni while at Bududa district promised to construct the same road immediately but unfortunately, nothing has been done yet.
Wasunguyi also says that during this period of sunshine, the situation has become worse.
“Durst enters the offices and makes our working environment very unpleasant,” he said.
The Resident District Commissioner (RDC) Bududa, Daniel Kukoola echoed the LCV’s concern saying the road is a major trade route to Kenya.
“This road helps us a lot, people use this road to go and work in Kenya and transportation of Ugandan goods to Kenya. So the government should tarmac the road after all it was in President Museveni’s manifesto,” Kukoola said.
