The award winning organization in Teso sub region dubbed Teso Entertainment Awards yesterday Thursday 22th, September,2022 launched their third Edition for the year 2022.
The 3rd Edition is scheduled to take place on 3rd December, 2022, at Hyde Park in Soroti City.
In a press conference held yesterday, Sam Edunyu popularly known as Big Sam, the CEO of TEA said they never hosted the awards for the past two years because of Covid-19 pandemic promising that this year something big is unfolding.
“This year’s awards theme is “back to the roots” and we are to kick off with some major programs and that’s a charity tour with an intention of distributing sanitary pads to the rural primary schools in districts of Teso and we are targeting mostly the primary seven girls, we shall be moving with different artistes who will have a platform to talk to the youths,” he explained.
“Teso Entertainment Awards remains one of Teso’s most dynamic organizations, a brand whose innovations and initiatives are to recognize, promote and Celebrate Teso’s Finest talent and we are also proud to keep growing from strength-to-strength as we have learnt a lot over time, starting from the first awards event, which was held in 2018.” He added.
Compared to the previous awards where accolades came without anything, this year’s awards will be accompanied by a token of appreciation that will leave the winner smiling.
Esther Aluo, the in charge marketing and promotions of TEA said that they are yet to introduce new categories of awards in this year’s competition and the nomination and voting process will be free and fair to improve on transparency.
” The awards have come to uplift artistes and also the music of Teso to another level and put Teso at the front, let’s ensure that we produce quality music and produce videos too that will easily be embraced by the public, let’s stand and work together than having divisions,” she added.
Some of the sponsors who have come to support TEA 2022 include the following, Coca Cola, Bella wines, Airiamet Coffee Shop, Stanbic Bank, Alakara health drink, Teju Juice, Teso Textiles, and TBS FM among others.
