Teachers in Alebtong district have today 2nd November 2022 announced industrial action over unpaid salaries.
The teachers say they have not received their salaries for the past three months despite receiving communication from the Chief Administrative Officer that all the payments had been cleared.
The same is also being experienced in other districts, including Amolatar, where the teachers stormed the district offices.

Fort Portal Resident City Commissioner Refutes Claims He Wants To Kill Deputy

The Fort Portal Resident City Commissioner, Godwin Angalia Kasigwa, has refuted claims that he wants to assassinate his deputy, Allan Bamuha, of the North Division.
This follows an assassination case registered at Fort Portal police by Allan Bamuha, accusing his boss of sending unknown shooters to assassinate him.
