Police of Northern City Division in Mbale City has arrested a 30 year old man on allegations of aggravated defilement and having military attires.
The suspect identified as Felix Onono, a resident of Nakaloke upper cell Northern division in Mbale city was picked this morning, 24th November, 2022 after relatives of the minor reported yesterday.
According to John Byamugisha, the police commander of Northern city division, Onono defiled the 2 year old girl of a neighbor and threatened to shoot the parents after wanting to report him.
Byamugisha also says that after parents reported Onono, Police swung into action and went to his home where they got a military jacket and a police cap.
Police adds that the minor was examined and proved that she was sexually abused.
“The minor is currently getting treatment at Mbale region referral hospital as the suspect is at Northern division police station waiting to answer charges of aggravated defilement and impersonation,” Byamugisha said.
