Police in Mbale district have arrested three people who are suspected to have murdered 11 year old boy on Monday, 12th December, 2022.
The suspects are Derrick Machika aged 21 years of age, Francis Sicika aged 25 years of age, and Silver Welishe aged 25 years of age all residents of Buruku parish, Bukiendye Sub County in Mbale district.
According to Rogers Taitika, the Elgon region police spokesperson, the three are said to have lured the minor to the spot where they killed him while on his way to a shop.
He adds that the intention of the murder is not yet known saying police is still investigating.
Taitika also says that the suspects are currently detained at Mbale central police waiting to appear in court and answer charges of murder.
