The Electoral Commission has closed its head offices located at Plot 55 Jinja Road in Kampala to the public for a period of one month.
The closure according to a press statement signed by Leonard Mulekwah, the Secretary Electoral Commission and released today, 15th December, 2022 is to enable the Commission shift its offices from the current location.
According to Mulekwah, the new offices will now be housed on Plot 1-3/5, Seventh Street, Kampala (formerly head office of the National Housing and Construction Company Ltd.)
The closure will be effective tomorrow 16th December 2022 until 16th January, 2023.
However, the Commission’s Registry will remain open at the new premises on Industrial Area on week days except public holidays that may fall on the week days.
