MBALE CITY
Police in Mbale City are holding two security guards attached to Stand-by Security Uganda, a Company guarding Water Pump Mosque in Dokho, Industrial City Division in Mbale City.
The suspects are identified as Andrew Okello and Albert Omageni all residents of Nasenyi cell, Dokho ward, Industrial city division in Mbale City.
According to Rogers Taitika, the two suspects staged an illegal road block yesterday, 13th February, 2023 at Dokho and started extorting money from boda boda riders, passengers and drivers claiming to be traffic police officers on an operation.
He adds that people in the area tipped off police who rushed to the scene and arrested the suspects who are currently detained at Malukhu Police Post.
Taitika also says that they have recovered a rifle and five rounds of ammunition
