Shock gripped residents of Bugiyabo village in Bulambuli district yesterday Wednesday, 22nd February, 2023 when a 17 year old boy kicked his 15 year old younger brother in the stomach, killing him instantly.
According to police, the two were playing when they developed a quarrel and in anger, the suspect kicked the other in the stomach.
Rogers Taitika, the Elgon region police spokesperson confirmed the incident saying the deceased was a pupil at Bunambutye resettlement P/S in P6 class located at Bugiyabo village, Bumufuni Sub County in Bulambuli district.
He adds that the suspect was arrested and is currently in police custody at Bulambuli central police station as investigations are still going on.
Taitika appealed to children to desist from such criminal acts that negatively impacts on their life.
