Parents and students of Bufumbo government aided secondary school have held a peaceful demonstration by closing the school protesting transfer of the head teacher.
According to Muhamed Walubili, the area councillor representing Bumagila parish also a parent says that they decided to demonstrate after getting news that the government has transferred Yusufu Magomu to another school and replaced him Muhamed Tonaasa.
He added that as parents they are not happy with the government’s decision since they still want their former head teacher following the development the school is in currently.
Abasa Namaje, chairperson board also said that before the coming of, the school had collapsed in terms of poor performance during senior four and six national exams and in enrolment.
He added that the school has so far started registering good performance and the number of students has increased from 20 to 600.
Buruhani Mandali commonly known as Agriculture man also a parent added that they want the government to leave their head teacher warning that they are ready to lock out the new head teacher should he report.
Getting a comment from the two head teachers by press time was futile after since their phones were off.
