MOROTO
The Minister of State for Works and Transport (Works) has been accused of assaulting the Operations Commander of the Anti-Stock Theft Unit, Kayongo Musa.
Scanty information coming in is that Francis Musa Ecweru allegedly hit Kayongo with a stick repeatedly following an altercation between the two. Kayongo is now receiving treatment at Soroti Regional Referral Hospital.
This is not the first time, Ecweru has gone physical. In 2021, Ecweru together with his body guard beat Rev. Simon Peter Olato, the Parish Priest of Wera Church of Uganda and his two lay readers, Benjamin Otasono and Simon Peter Eriku of Aten and St. John churches respectively.
