Soroti SS Head teacher Hands Over Office after Clocking 65 Years

Martin Okiria Obore has this afternoon left office of the Head Teacher Soroti Senior Secondary School after clocking retirement age of 65years.

 

Okiria has been the chairperson of the secondary school head teachers’ association in Uganda, a member of the National Curriculum Development Centre (2019-2022), a UNATU national executive member, and a member of the central scholarship committee at the ministry of education and sports, among other responsibilities.

 

Before joining Soroti Secondary School in 2019, Okiria was the head teacher of Ngora High School for eleven years. He has worked with different institutions across the country on education-related matters.

He handed over the instruments of power to Emmanuel Olaboro who has been serving as the Deputy Head teacher of the school.

 

Olaboro now takes the mantle on an interim basis till the Ministry of Education and Sports posts a new Head Teacher.
