On 3rd, May, 2023, this website ran a story indicating that the former chairperson Tororo district Area Land Committee Chairperson, Tom Mauso and three directors of Lions Club of Tororo Host Ltd Googo Nelson, Lawrence Wamala and John Dambio had been convicted and sentenced by the anti corruption court for attempting to illegally change ownership of Lions Children’s Park.
The correct information is that the four were convicted on the 26th April, 2023 on the their own plea and fined Shs2Million each.
The four were consequently set free meanwhile, their co accused, one Osudo is still in court and his case is coming up for hearing on 30th, May, 2023.
