The Member of Parliament representing Namisindwa County in Namisindwa district, Hon. Apollo Masika has today donated 15 beds to different Health Center IIIs in his constituency.
According to Bosco Mabuya, a Personal Assistant of Masika, the purpose of donating these beds is to improve services in government health facilities.
He says that Bunambale health center III located in Tsekululu Sub County got four beds, Bukhabusi health center III located at Bukhabusi Sub County got four beds, Buwabwala health center health center III located at Buwabwala Sub County got three beds and Bupoto health center III located at Namisindwa town council got four beds.
Mabuya also says that the beds were lobbied by Masika from the Ministry of Health which gave him to donate to health centers with few or no beds.
Jackson Wakwaika, the LCV Chairperson of Namisindwa district warned the health center III leaders against misusing the beds saying they are government property.
James Wangati from Bunamutonyi village in Teskululu Sub County expressed his happiness with the beds saying that mothers have been delivering from the floor since their Bunambale health center III has been without beds.
He says that this is going to improve on services at their health center and other health centers in the entire constituency.
