Police and local leaders in Namisindwa district have launched a hunt for unidentified suspected assailants who attacked and hacked to death a 55-year-old woman at Nabwela Cell, Bumbo Town Council on Wednesday night.
Aidah Sitsangi (55) was attacked at 7:30pm by the suspects forcing her to make an alarm, which attracted people.
Sibakha Aaron, the Chairperson LCIII for Bumbo town council, confirmed the incident explaining that the suspects reportedly used machetes to inflict bodily injuries and later fled the home, leaving her in a pool of blood.
He explains that residents who came to her rescue, found Aidah unconscious, and tried to take her for treatment but she died on her way to Bumbo Health Center III.

Bwayo reveals that similar cases had previously been reported this month in areas of Lwakhakha, Bumoni, and tsekulu, among others, where victims survived with major injuries, which has thrown a wave of fear among residents.
