North Mbale Diocese has released the burial program for the Bishop emeritus of North Mbale diocese in Bugisu Sub-region in eastern Uganda, Daniel Wanasolo Gimandu who died on Wednesday night.
The emeritus bishop died on May 10 at COU Hospital in Mukono, where he had been admitted.
Bishop Gimandu will be buried this May 15 at Diocesan Headquarters Buhugu with mass that will begin at 11 am.
According to Bishop North MbaleDiocese, Rt Rev Samuel Gidudu, a requiem mass has been organised on Friday morning at All Saints cathedral Nakasero starting from 11am and thereafter be transported to his home in Mbale City city for another service.
Bishop Gidudu explains that on Saturday, the body will be taken to St. Andrews Cathedral Mbale for a requiem service and thereafter be transported to his ancestral home in Buginyanya Bulambuli District. He adds that on Sunday, the body will be transported to St. Matthew’s cathedral Buhugu Sironko District for a vigil and burial.
