BUKEDEA
The office of the district returning officer Bukedea has revealed that so far a total of four aspiring candidates have picked nomination forms in order to contest for Bukedea district LCV by-election.
The electoral commission scheduled the polling date to be 14th, June 2023.
Raymond Kasare, the Bukedea district returning officer told this website today, 23rd May, 2023 that the four who have picked the nomination forms are the NRM party flag bearer Mary Akol, Sam Oita Odeke of FDC party and two independents; David Stephen Omagor and Taiki Okwi Obukalin.
According to Mr. Omagor, mobilization of signatures right from the sub county levels are ongoing.
“Iam proud to inform the people of Bukedea that am and ready and set to compete for the district chairperson seat”, said Mr. Omagor.
Taiki Okwi Obukalin, says so far he has mobilized signatures of about 13 sub counties across the district.
“Iam only left with three sub counties to cover the entire district and I submit back my nomination forms to electoral commission”, said Mr. Taiki.
However, recently Mary Akol, the NRM party flag bearer, promised not to fail the party flag.
