Five police officers attached to Budaka police central station are in critical conditions after being involved in nasty road accident today, 27th June 2023.
The casualties are identified as Bigambo, Jona Mujuni, Frank Ampire, Kenneth Tumwesigye, and Robert Wabutambi who was a driver.
According to Rogers Taitika, the Elgon region police spokesperson, police patrol vehicle registration number UP 7704 Isuzu D-max blue in colour coming from Budaka side heading to Mbale allegedly lost control, went off road and overturned injuring police officers at Dokho, Industrial city division, Mbale city along Tirinyi Mbale high way.
He adds that victims are currently in critical conditions at Mbale regional referral hospital as police is still investigating the cause of the accident.
