The new Mbale city Rotary club president Martine Wamalwa has pledged to bring good working relationships and develop the community with their programs.
He revealed this over the weekend during the handover ceremony of Mbale city rotary club president at Court View hotel.
According to the rotary club constitution, a president serves for one year in office after they elect another one.
Julia Namasaba, the former Mbale city woman Member of Parliament contestant was the Mbale city rotary club president from 2022 to 2023 and her term ended over the weekend.
While speaking to Mbale city rotary club members shortly after hand over exercise, Wamalwa says that lottery clubs have been doing activities in Mbale city and outside like mobilising for blood donation, community cleaning, constructing clean water sources among others.
He adds that those activities were not active as they used to be due to the covid19 lock down but since he has assumed office, they are going to resume those activities in different communities.
Julia Namasaba, the outgoing president, also urged the public to join the lottery club such that they can serve their country.
She pledged to work together with the new president as the only way of pushing the rotary club ahead.
