Police has arrested an 18 year old youth for allegedly defiling a three year old minor.
According to IP, Longole Mike, Ag. PRO Mt. Moroto/Astu, Okia Michael allegedly committed the offence on 30th July 2023 at around 4 PM at Locwae village, Apeitolim Parish, Apeitolim Sub-county, Napak District.
Okia who went into hiding was later arrested on Wednesday, 2nd August 2023.
“Based on received intelligence, the suspect was believed to be hiding within the same locality. Police successfully located and arrested him from his hideout,” Longole says in a press statement issued on Wednesday 2nd August.
He says the parents left the girl alone at home to attend prayers, during which time the suspect took advantage of the situation and defiled the little girl.
“Police investigators have visited the scene and gathered vital evidence to support the charge against the suspect. Once the investigations are completed, he will be arraigned in court to face justice,” Longole says.
