FUFA DRUM: Ateker Professionals Initiative for Development (APID) Leads Campaign for Teso Team

Ateker Professionals Initiative for Development (APID) has responded to calls made by FUFA DRUM, Teso Province for funds to enable the team travel to Ntungamo on 9th September 2023.

APID formed in 2020, is non-profit organization Association of professionals with broad objectives of advancing the profession of community work, st, strengthen, promote the professional and ethical standards essential froe exemplary work practice.

While introducing the drive, Counsel Esther Obaikol, APID’s Patron rallied the Iteso professionals to support the Teso Team saying, “We should do a fundraiser for Team Teso. APID, lets pull together to support this,” she said.

 

Speaking to this website in a phone interview today, 31st August 2023, Elsie Meneja, one of the members of APID and Chief Mobilizer for the FUFA DRUM Teso Province, said the team requires slightly over Shs10Million to enable the team prepare adequately and travel to Ntungamo.

 

“We have come out to rally support for our team due to face Ankole on 9th September,” Meneja says.

 

The team requires shs390,000 for training Equipment,  Shs2,950,000 for Welfare, Shs2,200,000 for Administration and Shs5M for Players and Technical staff allowances.

 

Meneja told this website that they received a letter from the Province Secretary, Teso Province Football Team asking for financial support and that is why the Association has taken the initiative of being part of Teso Team’s success.

 

“I call upon all well-wishers of Teso Province Team to contribute direct onto the Mobile Money Accounts of Diana A. Esele; 0775 197181 or 0703 497917,” Meneja says.

 

The Team intends to enter into residential training ahead of the match which it must win in order to advance to the next level.
