A Primary School teacher of Nabalanga Church of Uganda Primary School, located Nabalanga Parish, Nabbale sub –county, in Mukono district is on the run after allegedly raping a 15 year old female pupil.
The pupil also studies in the same school that the suspect, Nambasa Aaron teaches.
According a press statement issued by the Police Spokesperson, SCP Enanga Fred today, 12th September, 2023, Nambasa raped the minor on Saturday, 9th September, 2023 at around 5pm.
The incident occurred at Kabawala village, Nabalanga Parish, Nabbale sub –county, in Mukono district.
Enanga says that the facts gathered indicate that the suspect went and found the victim in her brother’s shop at around 4pm, at Kabawala trading centre, and he ordered for passion fruit juice of Shs500 only, which he asked the victim to deliver at his home.
She was given a note of Shs2000 and went to pick the balance. Upon her return, she was pulled inside the house and sexually assaulted. After the act of sexual violence, he asked the victim to go.
The victim went and narrated her ordeal to her elder brother who reported the matter to the area LCI Chairperson and the police. The suspect is on the run.
Enanga says police strongly condemns such acts of inappropriate behaviour, by teachers due to the negative impact it causes to pupils.
“The incident continues to show the dangers school girls face before there would be role models,” Enanga says in a press statement.
