JUST IN: Ministry of Transport Announces Temporary Closure of Driver Licensing Offices

Ministry of Works and Transport has announced temporary closure of all its Driver Licensing Offices countrywide.

The regional offices found in Gulu, Arua, Mbale, Mbarara, Jinja and Fort Portal Cities shall remain closed from 23^rd December, 2023 till 2^nd January, 2024.

Meanwhile, the head office in Kampala shall be closed on 23^rd December, and will re-open on 27^th December, and close again on 29^th December till the 2^nd of January, 2023.

This was revealed in a press statement issued today, 15^th December, 2023. According the Ministry’s Permanent Secretary, Waswa Bageya, the temporary closure is to allow members of staff room to enjoy the Festive Season.

He however, says that the call center shall remain operational for all the days the Kampala office shall be open.
