A 27 year old boda boda rider has been hacked to death and his motorcycle, unspecified amount of money and phone taken by thugs suspected to be residents of Namayingo district.
Chrispus Nahurira, a Mukiga by tribe but resident of Namayingo West Village, Namayingo district was killed on the night of 19th December, 2023 at a time not known.
According to Moses Mugwe, Police Spokesperson, Bukedi South, Nahurira was killed while riding his motorcycle reg. No. UFU 030M towards Lunyo Trading Center via Lunyo-Nagweke Road within Busia District.
“After hitting him to death, the robbers dumped his body in a bush alongside Lunyo-Nagweke Road.
Consequently, police has opened a case of murder/robbery at Busia Vide SD Ref:41/19/12/2023/CRB: 1310/2023 respectively.
Mugwe says the scene of crime was visited and documented by Busia Homicide team together with Soco and that the body of the deceased was delivered to Masafu Hospital for postmortem.
At the scene of crime, police found two Eucalyptus logs stained with blood while the body had two deep cuts on the left hand side of the deceased’s head.
He urged people in the area to be security cautious at this festive season.
