The story unfolding at National Unity Platform (NUP) Headquarters is that the Party President, Robert Kyagulanyi aka Bobi Wine has dropped both John Baptist Nambeshe and Mathias Mpuuga as Chief Whip and Leader of Opposition respectively.

Nakawa West MP, Joel Senyonnyi has been appointed the new LOP

In a meeting that took place earlier today, it was confirmed that the pair will now be deployed to other Committees of Parliament.

Nambeshe said to be heading to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) was so pissed off that he walked out of the meeting in protest saying Kyagulanyi was unfair.

“He immediately left the meeting very angry wondering why he had been transferred in a rather disrespectful way,” Our source told this website.

Mpuuga will now replace Mityana Municipality MP, Francis Zaake as Commissioner of Parliament. Zaake was ousted from the position by Parliament on grounds of bad behavior.

The new changes will be announced on Friday afternoon, in a Press Conference that will take place at the NUP Headquarters.

Kyagulanyi made the changes despite calls from different institutions asking him not to drop Mpuuga as Leader of Opposition.

While appearing on radio CBS FM on Thursday evening, Mpuuga thanked Ugandans for supporting the opposition’s cause in Parliament, for which he said had further left President Museveni’s government vulnerable.
