Mbarara High School, a government aided Secondary School found in Mbarara City is to give free mattresses to all its students effective First Term of the academic year, 2024.
This is revealed in a circular addressed to all parents/guardians of the school dated 19th January, 2024 and signed off by Hamm Ahimbisibwe, the school’s head teacher.
According to Ahimbisibwe, this was a resolution reached to by the Board of Governors under Minute Number 58/BOG/2023/b.
“This is to inform all Parents and Guardians that with effect from Term One, 2024, the school shall provide mattresses to all students of Mbarara High School,” reads Ahimbisibwe’s circular.
The Head teacher has informed students not to carry mattresses to school on the opening day.
Mbarara High School (MHS), also known as Chaapa is a boys-only boarding middle and high school located in Ruharo Mbarara City in Mbarara District in Western Uganda. The School has illustrious OBs, many of whom are active in Uganda’s public and private sectors. The notable, among them include the following: President Yoweri Museveni , Amanya Mushega , late Elly Tumwiine, Andrew Mwenda, Bright Rwamirama, Mwesigwa Rukutana, and Sabiiti Muzeyi.
