A Bus belonging to Nile Star Bus Company caught fire on the morning of today, 14th February, 2024 getting completing burnt in the process.
According to a brief statement issued by the Gulu Police Spokesperson, Mudong David Ongom, the Bus Reg No UBF 003Y, caught fire this morning, February 14, 2024, at Latoro along the Pakwach-Karuma highway in Nwoya District while en route to Kampala.
Mudong says that fortunately, all passengers were safely evacuated meanwhile, the bus was completely burnt and passengers’ properties worth millions of shillings were destroyed.
“The Nwoya Territorial Traffic Police have commenced an investigation into the incident to determine the probable cause,” Mudong says.
