More details relating to the assassination of the esteemed head of Ndiga clan and director of Transa Electrical, Eng. Daniel Bbosa Lwomwa on the evening of Sunday, 25th February, 2024 continue to emerge.
Eng. Bbosa was shot dead at close range at approximately 6:00 pm in Kikandwa Zone, Lungujja Parish, Lubaga Division near his home.
Reports indicate that earlier in the day, Omutaka Eng Bbosa Lwomwa met with Ndiga clan members in Buikwe district and was accompanied by his wife.
It is alleged that the assailants, who were on a motorcycle, trailed him and shot at his car a few meters from his home in Lungujja.
Upon hearing gunshots, Omutaka stopped the car. The assailants later ended his life with close-range shooting. His wife, who occupied the co-driver’s seat, survived unhurt.
Motorists and other locals who witnessed the gruesome incident, retaliated and chased the two assailants using boda bodas.
According to one eyewitness, one of them attempted to shoot at the residents but unfortunately for him, the gun slid into the wheels, causing the bike to lose control and go off the road.

Residents then managed to lynch one to death, while the other has survived with severe injuries.
According to police, they recovered the firearm allegedly used in the murder incident, along with the motorcycle registration number UEX 754E, utilized by the assailants during the attack.
Meanwhile, the deceased, is a maternal uncle to Uganda’s opposition leader, Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi a.k.a Bobi Wine. This was revealed by Bobi Wine himself in an X message eulogizing the death of his uncle.
“Just received the sad and shocking news of the murder in cold blood of the Head of the Ndiga Clan of Buganda Kingdom, Eng. Daniel Bbosa Lwomwa. As I will speak later, the now deceased elder has been my maternal uncle, who was closely related to our late mother. As media reports indicate that the citizens were vigilant and pursued and captured the assailants, every citizen hopes that this time around, the cause and motive of this murder will be investigated swiftly and efficiently and the perpetrators brought to justice. Gutusinze nnyo Ayi Ssaabasajja!” Bobi Wine wrote on his X handle.
