A Community Development Officer of Aboke Town Council in Kole district has been arrested and arraigned in Court on charges of obtaining money by false pretense.
Aciro Lucy Ejura allegedly obtained over UGX 13Million from various women groups in Kole District under the Uganda Women Entrepreneurship Programme (UWEP), including; Oryem Can, Obanga Akica, Okole, and Aparango Womens’ Groups.
Aciro was produced in court today, 15th March, 2024 having been arrested by State House Anti-corruption unit.
She claimed to help the groups bank the money but ended up diverting it for personal use. She has been remanded until 24/ 04/ 2024.
