Forum for Democratic Change (FDC) Party has raised concern of missing DR form numbers in four polling stations in the ongoing Dokolo woman MP bye-election taking place today, 21st March, 2024.

The polling stations are Dokolo Primary school and three in one polling station in Agwecibangi Primary school. This was raised by FDC agent, Willy Enino who proceeded to the EC tally center at Dokolo district council hall to lodge the complaint.

He said the missing Dr form numbers means the wrong ballot boxes were brought or could have been tampered with.

Meanwhile, at Dokolo Primary school polling station, voting delayed due to faulty biometric machine. Voters started casting in their votes at 9:15am after another biometric machine was brought in.

However, disagreement also erupted when UPC supporters stormed the place in an open vehicle demanding clear sitting arrangement for presiding officers and the candidate agent’s.

Voting materials were dispatched by 4am at all the 173 polling stations according to a report from Jimmy Patrick Okema, the North Kyoga Police spokes person.

The district has a total population of 200,000 people and  95000 are expected to vote in a process that shall determine who takes the mantel to replace the late Cecilia Atim Ogwal who died in India on the 18th January this year.

EC had nominated 7 candidates however, Hanna Grace Lalam, the NRM leaning independent candidate withdrew leaving the battle to 6 candidates. Dr Rose Mary Alwoc Ogwal FDC, Sarah Aguti Nyankori UPC, Harriet Ageno NUP, Janet Rose Adongo NRM, Dr Esther Akullo Obot independent and Rebecca Arao independent.
