Six Buganda Royal Institute Students Die in Fatal Road Accident

KAMPALA

At least six students from Buganda Royal institute of Business and Technical Education Mengo, have perished in a nasty car accident at Misinde village, Katabi Town Council, Wakiso district.

 

Four of them died on spot while two others died on the way to Kisubi hospital where they were confirmed dead. It’s reported that the deceased students were heading to Katomi Kingdom beach for a weekend outing but unfortunately died in a car accident before reaching there.

 

Eyewitnesses who witnessed the accident say the deceased were overspeeding in a black car registration number UBH 582S and failed to negotiate a sharp corner popularly known as a black spot and in the process rammed into a stationed beverage truck.

 

Locals in Misinde village blamed police for failing to respond in time to save the lives of the two students who were still alive.

 

Entebbe traffic police has visited the scene of accident but have not revealed the exact cause of accident till investigations are complete.
