Dr. Mulindwa said the Vipers fans day has been transformed into Vipers day and it’s a day for the club’s fans to converge to celebrate the club’s achievements every year.
“Every year our fan base has been increasing and each year more fans join us and are registered in our database. Effective this year, we shall have Vipers day instead of Vipers fans day and on that day, different stakeholders will meet and interact with each other,” he said.
He also revealed that Vipers day will be a day for feasting adding that their fans will be entertained by local artists with the gates opening at noon and fans will be required to pay some entry fee for the smooth running of the club’s routine activities.
“On the D-Day, our team will host a visiting team in one of the super leagues to test the team’s competence and readiness for the next season 2024/2025. This will enable us to identify the gaps within the team and if any, we shall have to fix them with immediate effect. It would also enable us to prepare adequately for the upcoming season 2024/2025.” He said.
“Prior to the main game at 7pm, there would be a curtain raiser match between ex-players of Vipers sports club against the current team squad at 3pm. On the D-day we shall also unveil the season cards plus the benefits attached to them. ‘
