IGG Arrests 2 Parish Chiefs, Community Facilitator in Kikuube District Over PDM Funds

The Deputy Inspector General of Government, Dr. Okiria has this afternoon Friday, 26th July, 2024 ordered the arrest of two Parish Chiefs in Kikuube District and Community Facilitator, DRDIP project over PDM funds.

 

The three are Godfrey Katungi Parish Chief of Igwanjura Parish, Lawrence Baguma Parish Chief of Bubogo Parish and Charles Kusemererwa (Community Facilitator, DRDIP project) in Kikuube district.

Katungi and Baguma have been allegedly extorting money from PDM members as a requirement for accessing PDM money, while Kusemerwa irregularly withdrew Shs19M from the group’s account. The trio is detained at Kabwoya police post

 

DRDIP is a displacement impact project designed to address expanded development needs for refugees and the hosting communities.
