The Ministry of Internal Affairs has announced that the upgrade of the e-Visa system has been completed and applications for the same can now be done online.
This was revealed by Mundeyi Simon Peter, the Spokesperson for the Directorate of Immigration in a Press statement dated 10th October, 2024.
“The Directorate of Citizenship and Immigration Control is pleased to announce that the e-visa system at www.visas.immigration.go.ug has been successfully upgraded and is now fully operational,” reads the statement.
All applications for Visas, Work/entry permits, Certificates of Residence, Special Passes, Student Passes, Dependant Passes, Internship/Research Passes, Visitors Passes and Citizenship can be done online at a fee of 50 US Dollars.
