MBALE CITY
City authorities have effective Wednesday, 4th December, 2024 deployed heavily in Mbale City ahead of the X-mas festive season.
This was revealed by the Mbale RCC, Asumin Nasike while addressing the Media at her office on Wednesday, 4th December.
Nasike said that beginning Wednesday, they are deploying both UPDF and Uganda Police Foot Patrols to cover the entire City especially at night.
She says that the purpose of deployment is to keep law and order following the increased cases of insecurity reported.
SP Rogers Taitika, the Elgon region police spokesperson urged the community to work with security such that the entire festive season is peaceful.
He urged LCIs to report any new person seen in their areas to police.
