Mbale City is expected to host a two days Elgon Tourism Expo & Business Forum, under the theme Re-Think, Innovate & Grow”
According to the event organisers, the platform offers a vibrant platform that facilitates meaningful Business – to – Business (B2B) and Business-to-Consumer (B2C) interactions creating immense value for both exhibitors and buyers.
This forum brings together investors, entrepreneurs, bankers, hoteliers, Tour operators, fashion, film, Telecom Companies, media, insurance players, conservation agencies, academia, policy makers and local government.
Racheal Kakungulu Kirama, the President -Elgon Tourism Expo and Business Forum, says this year’s event targets more exhibitors in the Tourism value chain and expects to attract more visitors for two dynamic days (Friday, 13th to Saturday, 14th December 2024 at Mbale Cricket grounds, dedicated to exploring innovative approaches and fostering growth in the tourism and business sectors.
Ms Kirama adds that Exhibitors will have the opportunity to showcase their products, services, and innovations to a diverse audience of industry professionals, potential partners, and consumers, enhancing brand visibility, securing partnerships, building solid sales pipelines to drive business success.

The event will feature a Business Dinner at courts view hotel where key industry discussions will shape strategies for sustainable development, setting the stage for transformative growth in the Elgon sub region.
James Kutosi the City Spokesperson, James Kutosi, emphasized the vast opportunities that tourism presents for our city’s economic growth, cultural preservation, and community development.
He called on Government to invest in infrastructure development in the city, such as roads, hotels, and amenities, to support tourism growth.
