MBALE CITY
Mbale City Town Clerk, Ambrose Ochen has interdicted acting City Education Officer, Linus Nasimiyu.
According to sources privy to the ongoing, Nasimiyu was interdicted over allegations of misusing a government vehicle.
She is said to have given her official vehicle to an unauthorized person who in the process damaged the vehicle in contravention of the Public Service Standing Orders prompting the town clerk to interdict her.
James Kutosi, the Mbale City Public Relations Officer while speaking to our reporter today Monday, 9th December, 2024 confirmed the interdiction saying Nasimiyu is under investigation.
He says she was interdicted last week adding that once investigations are over, Nasimiyu will be given an appropriate punishment.
Kutosi urged the public to be patient and leave investigations to go on without disrupting them.
Kakai Khariate, the Mbale Deputy Mayor has urged other city officers to use their government vehicles for official purposes to avoid falling under similar problems.
